Selge and Köprülü Kanyon

Köprülü Kanyon is an exceptionally beautiful valley running northwards from the coast between Antalya and Manavgat. There are various roads and it’s not altogether simple to find the right route: I’d gone up there several times before finding the famous Roman bridges.

Selge is an amphitheatre perched all on its own, remotely at the end of the valley, close to a few houses that hardly amount to a village. A little boy insisted on showing me round.

I’m not even sure if I could find the waterfalls again, but they’re the best I’ve seen in Turkey.
