Doğubeyazit

Not strictly a classical site - it has no connection with the Romans or Ancient Greeks, having been built by Ishak Pasha an 18th century local warlord - but it’s undeniably spectacular. It’s located in the far east of Turkey, just a few kilometers from the Iranian border, not far from Mount Ararat.
